![]() ![]() I almost get called daily about users not being able to send mail and when logging on to the web-interface at it turns out the account In general seems to be quite picky about things like source IP, automated/scheduled mailings etc. I had to open an account on another mail provider to work around this (yes, had to do this on a number of other Windows Server instances I am operating).ĭoes anybody know what the reason for the account lock is or how to prevent this permanently in or do they really try to get rid of me? So basically Microsoft services are totally useless to be used with Microsoft products. ![]() I also have been unable to find an option in accounts to prevent this. Every time I hit the "send code" link I get a message saying the quota has been exceeded, I shall try again tomorrow. Well this is a guess as does not let me know the reason for the lock out.Įven worse, when I try to unlock the account it's forcing me to enter a country code and a phone number to send the unlock SMS. But it's useless if the account is locked randomly by due to "suspicious" activity. The account is used only by Windows to send server health reports and potential alerts. Now the problem is that every now and then the account is "temporary locked". So I have created an account just for this purpose. I am using Windows Server 2012R2 and want it to send health reports to my personal mail inbox every day. ![]()
